The Winter Maker

As part of an annual large scale music and arts festival in Jerusalem with the theme of winter, I was invited by the municipality to perform something of my choice. I was assigned a prominent building in Jerusalem and given a large projector and a sound system.

I filmed an actor on a green screen, operating and acting as different figures, and I projected and mapped the entire building in order to place all my figures in the windows and balconies of the building.

Without any input, a peaceful summer scene is projected onto the building. When someone blows inside the winter maker, the winter arrives full glory. The projection transforms into a stormy scene, with objects flying by, accompanied by stormy sound and visual effects.

The object of the machine itself was inspired by crazy and magical machines

The animation that was projected on the building was mapped on ground for this specific building
